Affordable… except to the people who make modern society go round. 30k is far too expensive for the commoner.
Intelligent driving, especially using one-pedal driving, markedly improves mileage. My 2023 Bolt is getting about 5 miles a KWH at speeds from 25 to 55. Times the 65 KWH battery equals 300+ miles on a charge. I drove my Honda Fit at 60 mph on the interstate in order to get up to 45 mpg & see no reason to drive my Bolt faster. I'm in no hurry; I'm retired.
Yeah we just bought one a few days ago and love it. Exactly as you said, it's for commuting and trips into town for the day, not road tripping lol
the reason why it takes a lot of time to charge from 80 to 100% is because how li-ion batteries work, unlike classic lead-acid batteries, li-ion have a BMS (battery management system) which will balance the charging between the cells so every one of them is at the same level, once the charging reaches 80-90% it hits "the heel" and the BMS will drop the charging current, hence it will charge slower, otherwise the batteries would be damaged or even catch on fire, this happens also in laptops, smartphones and so on
Also, it is not advised to store a li-ion battery pack topped up to 100% for long periods of time, usually the manufacturers (at least for phones power banks i.e) recommend to store them at around 50 to 70% if I remember well, otherwise the batteries will get damaged over time

of planting defects for their customers. No class action is allowed in

Tell him to increase the tire pressure to 50 psi on freeway if I don't go over the speed limit I can get around 210 to 234 on the range drove mine from Washington State to Chattanooga Tennessee with no problems I had to stop just as many times with my full truck that I was driving charging infrastructure is a problem unless you're a Tesla this is why everyone is adopting Tesla standard because they have the station's built out
The reason why they stopped making the cars they weren't making any money on it they're losing around 30 to $40,000 on everyone they sell because they can't make it profitable now they're trying to do what Tesla did and make high-end luxury vehicles but now they got everyone hooked on their nice little car and now they're beholding to their stockholders if they stop making cars over the low end their revenue will go down to catch 22 for GM and they will eventually Go out of business cuz the economics don't make sense
