I bought a 94 S10 for $500 bucks 3 weeks ago. It needs some work but I’ve
been pecking away at it. First I had to replace one of the rear brake
lines. Now I have replaced the brake booster, wheel cylinders and rear
brake shoes. I have a new clutch set to put in as well as a new head
gasket. I tested the compression and it’s good. So once all this is done I
will hopefully have a dependable truck that is good on gas. My Dodge needs
a transmission.
The starter went out in my 99 Tahoe just yesterday. Stopping by Autozone
today to pick one up. Thanks for the quick tutorial. Haven’t been under her
for repairs since I replaced the fuel pump a few years ago. Seeing you
knock it out in under an hour gives me my confidence back…LOL! Great
video, thanks again!
@mrbobsshow yep did it today, broke the eyelet of the small post on the
solenoid. rusted on there. figure I ll cut it down a bit and crimp another
eyelet on there, even the whole thing is back in there. thanks though
I can gaurantee it still sounded just as bad. I know nobody thats had good
luck doing this change out. Why didn’t we hear it start?
Very helpful! I’m installing a starter on 2000 Cadillac Escalade. The
layout is pretty similar. Great video! Thank you.
