Thanks so much for the video. I’ll be doing this repair very soon.

Timothy kelly says:

Thanks for the 5/16th bolt idea. I used the bolt, a couple of washers and a
socket that was slightly larger than the outside diameter of the bushing to
press it all the way in. The first time I tried to install them with a
hammer it destroyed them.

BariaJoseKightHeart.i. says:

wish you had show how to installed the roler pin and taking it out, got a
1996 GMC suburban and everyone is saying to take to the “body shop” and
get a new one welded but I mean is just the roler pin in the front sides
and don’t want to spend 500 or 700 for just role pin.

Arthur Chaput says:

Thank you! Great video.

Michatch says:

Great video. Just did my drivers door on my 95 GMC truck in about an hour
and a half, and most of that time was rigging up a hoist to hold the door
since I don’t have any friends. Thanks for the video! Very informative.

Joe Lleras says:

Great video man last time I pay for that but not anymore Thank you

Duane Watson says:

Brother you are a life saver!! I been driving my 94 Z71 for 3 YEARS with
the drivers side door almost falling off. Slammed it so much the paint is
cracked & coming off the door!! Its my ‘inner pin” thats broken. Not the 2
outer door ones, the one inside next to the body. Broke clean in 2!!
Everyone kept saying “Body Shop” is only way to fix it. Thanks so much
Bro!! Great job & GREAT vid!!!!

newportbeachsailor says:

Thanks. Good presentation. Nice bushing press you created out of a 5/16″
bolt.

MegaDog43 says:

Did you remove the roller pin from the top or bottom of hinge?

slliks67 says:

@gmtech26358 man i cannot find that hinge pin roller no friggin where. So
you say they have them at NAPA auto parts store. I change my hinge pins can
i change the roller pin later without having to mess with my newly
installed hinge pins?

gmtech26358 says:

glad to help!!

chevy629 says:

Thanks for the video. It helped a lot even though I was away from home (and
my tools) I was still able to replace the pins and bushings. The check link
pin was a pain , as it was a GM part and I had to hammer it up into place.
In doing so I slightly flared the base and the roller drags now. Something
to be careful of. Not a big deal but … just thought I would mention it..

redwolfthunderheart says:

Great help! Thanks for taking your time to help all of us who maintain our
own vehicles. Chevy—like a rock!!

Wes Litton says:

Do you grease your bushings before you put the hinge pins in?

gmtech26358 says:

@TheBucksatan any car part store should have it in their tool section.

DathlokX says:

Great Video… looks like my spring project list is getting larger

tkdiddy30 says:

MY ROLLER PIN SNAPPED ON ME TOO ..I HAVE THE HINGE PIN KIT BUT WHERE DID
YOU GET THE NEWLY DESIGNED ROLLER PIN AT. THANK FOR THE GREAT VID TOO MAN..

gmtech26358 says:

@MegaDog43 after you grind off the top where the factory pressed it you
just knock it through the bottom.

gmtech26358 says:

@tkdiddy30 I bought mine from NAPA.
