This combination has about 400 hp / 425 lbs torque. It runs ’97 Vortec heads with LT4 springs and cut down guides. .525 inch lift roller camshaft and gear driven cam. An LS engine can be put in but that would’ve cost a whole lot more.

I’d wait overnight. That will allow time for the sealant to fully cure.

After doing your intake manifold install, how long do you wait to fill it back up with coolant?
You could add a shift kit and a 2200 RPM stall converter. Got a video up on how to add a B & M shift kit to a 700R4, check it out : D

I got the Carb. Gonna do distributor and what not but what would you recommended for tranny work?
Change the spark plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor. Could do away with the cumbersome throttle body and go with an Edelbrock RPM intake and 600 CFM carb. An HEI ignition and dual exhaust.

Hey I just got a 89 caprice and it has a 350 in it. I just wanted to know how to make it run smoother and be more responsive off acceleration

Yea, the engine install was fully custom. Some of the clearances are pretty tight. Windshield was busted up when I got it. Plan on painting it flat black here soon. Got my Associates in Automotive Service Technology at Ivy Tech here in town. But I work as a nurse full time.

When you put that engine in the car was it a full custom install?
What’s your windshield always broken didn’t notice it before?
Is being a mechanic your day job?
