Haha nice durashit powerstroke all the way cummins is ok 2
That’s a pretty cool song to void you’re warranty to.
is the plate plastic or steel?
I had mine installed the other day, and from the quick measurements I took mine read a 1/4in off as well… but I think the slight slope of my driveway might have played a factor. I also found that they did not reconnect the sway bar on my passengers side…
great video it really help me out but only ? how big did you go with tires. I would like to upgrade tires to lil bigger but don’t want to cut fenders and want to stay with stock rims (18’s)
Did this stiffen up the ride of the front end at all? I already have an 8″ lift on my Avalanche, but it is completely drop down, so the ride is factory. I want an extra inch of clearance in the front so I was going to install this kit, I just don’t want it to change the ride.
Damn you make it seem so easy, good vid.
I installed mine and now the driver side sits a 1/4 inch lower then the passenger side. Any suggestions?
yes. I put a 3 in. leveling kit on my 94 burb, same setup as yours pretty much (although mine is 4wd, but I doubt there’ll be any difference with that)
I have a question can I do this with my 99 Chevy Suburban C1500 2WD
what maintenance do you need to do after installation?
Alrite man thanks for the video was really really helpful did the 2.5 front level and 2 in block replacement in back took me 4 hrs thanks again u helped me out big time
Just got my 2.5 level kit rough country in ill let you know if it is really is this easy nice vid thuo bro thanks
That’s a good puppy dog you got there.
This a ball joint, control arm, tie rod killer at its finest, but the best of quality!
thanks alot, your video was a big help.my truck is a 2012 but it looks identical. cool looking dog
You can do it your self it not that hard
yes, you should get one done
Hey,
I have the 2007′ Silverado newer body style also my questions is there anything different on the 2 years ? I also installed about 4yrs a 2” leveling kit on it along with the rear lift also. After installing front & rear kit still the back was higher, lol it wasn’t blocks it was a add a leaf. Well anyway for $80 and 2 hours of my time I’m going to get this 2″ rough country leveling kit and install it with the stuff that’s already there just to level the front end.
it looked like it was only a 1 inch lift..?
can you fit 33’s with just a 2 inch leveling kit?
Ok, i just did mine and found a small trick. First get the bolt up through the control arm and just flush with the top of the lift block so the lift block cant move. Then pry/push the bottom of the strut until it lines up and the bolt goes through. You may have to screw the bolt in some until it’s through enough to get a nut on it.
Whoever talked about the ring at the to it is a strut spacer and only comes with the 2.5 inch lift along with blocks for the rear same year models this kit is just the level not a lift it only comes with the strut mount extension and instructions as where the 2.5 comes with strut mount extension strut spacer and rear 2inch blocks I got the 2.5 for the rear lift as well the 2 doesn’t look quite high enough for me
I don’t know if it was bad luck or an actual difference in shock/struts, year, trim, ect. but I installed this kit on my ’11 Z71 4X4 w/ Rancho Shocks a year ago using the same process as shown in this video..Done in 45 min. Cake. They slid right in…Did my father-in-law’s ’13 non Rancho Shock, non-Z71, 4X4, last night..Pass side was easy, driver’s side would not go..Took over an hour to get it done. Not sure if there is a slight difference from year to year or in the shocks/struts..or I suck.
Did you need to get your tires realigned?
Never mind my last comment, found the older comments that mentioned alignment. Got this kit coming to me in the morning, this vid will help with some prep-work, thanks!
Did you have to get an alignment after this, I’ve heard that this type of leveling kit didn’t require one but haven’t confirmed that???
Just put this kit in my 2011, thank you for the video, very big help
@viminico With this kit there was no metal ring…that would add more lift…unless they have revised the design
Youtube forgot the part you put the metal ring over the spring…
shouldve done a before/after…
