Excellent demonstration and as a teacher I appreciate how you own up to
your mistakes. I will be using this video in class as many of my students
have trucks of this vintage with this same problem. If you open the door a
few inches, take a crow bar and put the end on the door sill and and pry up
against the bottom of the door you can take the last bit of misalignment
out of the door. Be sure to put padding between the bar and any painted
surfaces!

good vid i like how you mentioned your better half and how it was her idea,
thank god my better half was watching. this was so good she took the job
and ran with it to the auto parts store, back and doing her door hinge pins
herself,. wtg

bubba bean says:

Unfortunately my left door upper hinge was pinned to death before i got
it… Any vids on how to replace hinges with bolt on replacements??

Bill Knight says:

Big thanks for the how too vid. Your tips answered my questions on whether
I should try this myself. To the auto parts store!

Marlboroman6721314 says:

Good job doing it by yourself.

Mine is sagging too, but when i move it up and down there doesn’t seem to
be any play in the bushings. Could it be something else, or just bent a
little?

Thanks for the video i have a ford ranger and i’m having to replace the
door pins on the drivers side door and they only had one set of pins for a
a ranger but a buttload for for s10’s.Mines been messed up for awhile and
messed up the latch on the door.how long did it take and can use a floor
jack instead if you don’t have an extra set of hands.?

Thanks for the video. Just picked up the parts and figured Id look for a
quick video. This will help Im sure.

McCart VehicleAccessories says:

Thanks for all the comments and views. I believe the cost of the parts were
less than $20.00. I will be happy to answer anymore questions anyone might
have.

Great vid..going to do my Monte Carlo real soon.. Thanks

McCart VehicleAccessories says:

@onebigkahuna69 Thanks. It shouldn’t take more than 2 hours. I actually had
jack stands with rags on top so they would not scratch the door. You just
need someone or something to balance the door. Good luck and let me know if
you have anymore questions.

Capt. Killingfield says:

Haven’t finished the video yet, but I’m loving the sound effects, lol.

thanks for uploading. i’ve favorited this video because i’m planning on
doing this job on my 89 c1500. i have the same exact problems as you did. i
bought the truck awhile back and it was always an issue. the top of the
door has rubbed so much against the cab that its grinded down to the metal
and rusts when it rains. how much did you pay for each part? thanks.
