Isn't this version of the Seafoam only supposed to go in the gas tank or crankcase temporarily? The one that goes in a vacuum line is the top end cleaner which is blown in via a straw.
The smoke isn't proving anything. Seafoam will do that in a brand new zero mile car too. That's the oil in the seafoam burning off. Also you're better off using Berrymans as it will actually clean.
Why wouldn’t you replace the 02 sensor or check for an oil leak before replacing the catalytic converter? That’s wild that most mechanics just read the code and don’t think beyond what else it could be. While you replace the part and may correct the code, you still wouldn’t have resolved the issue of why the catalytic converter failed so quickly.
Will this work on a 2016 kia soul? I changed the catalytic converter (the old one was completely clogged). But the p0420 still came back after a week, Im also going to replace the oxygen sensors.
Ive never used seafoam but Im a bit weary about using it on a GDI engine.

P0340 is a camshaft position sensor code. Is it different on different vehicles?
