O2 Sensor code P1053, P2099, P0157 2003 Cadillac CTS and small garage up date (new tools)

Bought an 03 Cadillac Cts check engine light was on and has some codes. Replaced the sensors. Looks like one the previous owner tried to replace and couldn’t…

The coolant sensor shouldn’t make it hard to start. Im not 100% but I’d lean more toward the crank sensor. You can call the dealer and ask them. They can explain exactly what it does and if these are the symptoms of a crank sensor or is there another issue that may not be tripping a code like a bad battery or something.

Good Luck

Thanx a lot for ur help…I have another question I have the check engine
on..and I put the scanner and showed two codes.that are the thermostat and
the crank sensor but I told a friend about it he told me he thinks is the
coolant sensor because I told him about the symptoms of my car that are
trouble shooting.the car turns fine when is warm but when its cold it
trouble shoot. Its weird because it happens sometimes not always , it
started 2 weeks ago .what do u think ?? Thanx for ur help broo

2LateIWon says:

The temp sensor is actually the part that communicates with you computer. You thermostat (when working) opens and closes. The computer has no idea. The temp sensor tells the computer the temp of the water/coolant and will determine if the coolant is getting to its operating temp like it should. (hope this helps)

chevysfans says:

what are the symptoms when the coolant sensor is not working or getting fuckd up

The key is renting/ borrowing that tool. Its pretty easy for the savings involved.
