Thanks for the video!

I've got a 2014 CTS that came with the Sapele wood door trim. However, I've wanted to change it out for the brushed aluminum for a long time. I found a great deal on a brand new OEM kit, so I bought it. I would prefer to just have the dealer install it, but when I went to Capital Cadillac in Marietta, the service adviser called a tech who estimated 3-5 hours labor for installation of all the pieces, which is obviously ridiculous. He argued the door panels need to come off, which is simply not true based both on your video and the actual instructions which came with the parts. The instructions just show a pry tool and point to the various spots that need prying. I also went to Hennessy in Duluth and again, without looking at the directions, they also speculated the door panels would need to come off. Again — obviously, not true.

Do you have a contact at Capital (or any other local dealer service dept) who might have a clue on how to install this trim?

I might eventually just try to install the trim myself, but I'm going to be annoyed with myself if I break the old trim while removing it, in case I need to put it back on for some reason in the future. Thanks!

Hey Dave! I have a 2016 Cadillac ATS V-coupe (very similar to your 4 door). I watched your video on replacing the carbon fiber panel that had been lifted from the glue. I am having the same problem with my car. I want to replace this door trim but I'm having difficulty finding the replacement part. So far, I have found replacement parts #23111907(left) and #23111908(right) that are compatible with my model. The trouble I am having is determining if this part is the "applique" that requires gluing or the actual "door trim" with the attached plastic and clips like you showed in your video. I have called 4 different GM parts stores online and been given different "facts"??? I even called the Cadillac dealership that I purchased the car from….they couldn't even tell me??? I just want to order the correct replacement part and do it myself (I'm a DIY'er) or at least take it to my local body shop and pay them to put it on (their price is triple what I'm seeing online for the parts….if I have the correct part numbers). Any help from you would be great! I have always been a Corvette owner, but when I found the Cadillac ATS V-Coupe…..my heart melted! Thanks for any suggestions!
