How To Install a Timing Set on the Cadillac 390 Engine

In this episode of Chip Off The Old Block, Bob and Josh will show you how to assemble and install the timing set and cover on the Cadillac 390 Engine that is going in the 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz.

Compared to other parts of the engine assembly, this process is more on the easy side, but you still want to make sure it’s done correctly and efficiently. Timing matters when it comes to engines and it’s advised that you take your time when lining things up and positioning specific parts on the block.

I'm inspired! I've picked up a 390 block, heads, crank, etc. will refer back to these when I am assembling. Is your shop open to the public? I'm down the road in Vallejo. building a 1957 CDV. Cheers!
