Yooo i just had this issue with my CTS!! My system doesn't sound like it should n i know cuz i had the system in my other car!! I was blaming the factory radio but I'm about to take the RCA converter off to see the difference!!!

Man you are a genius!!! Went thru so many hassles with different shops and nobody could figure it out even blew my factory amp. Did what you said after replacement of factory amp and woooooo!! Sounds great, that's how u do it!! thanks again.

ok so I did this and I hooked the pos/neg up to the existing subwoofer and it gives a lot of feedback while the vehicle is off. Making the sub boom. It seems as though it cuts out at high volume as well. Could this be because of the RCA or is it likely due to the pos/neg being hooked to the subwoofer terminals?
