@50anderson sorry for leaving that out.. as you have the back seat out.
lift up the carpet on the driver side and you should see a fuse box. open
the fuse box and youll see two rows where fuses. now on the row closest to
the back of the car youll see 2 fuses then 2 empty spaces the second empty
space is the one you want thats the remote
@50anderson yes you can use anyone as long as your hooking up a subwoofer
amp. also its not necessary to cut the sub wire but i wold recommend you do
so its easier to work with. but if you gonna hook up an amp for the door
speakers dont go thru the sub wire do it with the pillar wires.
i cant believe this guy did that to a CTS it hurts just the see it why
didn’t just buy the harness kit and get it done right i have a cts 03 all
done woofer and all
@22reTOYOTA hmm… man ive never thought about connecting them directly to
the battery post i mean it already has a 2 gauge wire coming off the post
and i thought it was easier the way i did anyway, its temporary thou im
getting a jeep soon so then i can fix the thinks i messed up on. and really
make a SPL system
U should never ever run your cables by the radaitor kuz wen the radaitor
gets hot the cables do to and when that happens it burning the wires and if
they burn alot the negative and positive touch together and can cause the
amps to get fucked up and also never connect any kind of wires into your
fuses because the can burn your car computer and you wanna know because
since its connected to the fuses when you put a song with a lot of bass the
amp takes more power so it is steeling power from
The thing that is connected to the fuse and when you connect somthing to
the fuse the computer starts reading other signals that it dont understand
thats why alot of times the check engine comes on or service needed
If you had to drill a hole at the firewall why not do it on the same side
as the battery? Also hooking up the power wire directly to the battery is
always best.
Question why didn’t you install the amp on the left side were the factory
one is its much cleaner looking but I also like how you did do it on the
right side.anyways good work I like it
@capricebass12 another ? so have you ugraded the big 3 on your cts i ended
up putting in a kicker ix1000.1 amp and a 1.5 voodoo capacitor and im still
havin issues with power to my amp i cant even turn it up past like 25
without my amp turning off i have 2 kicker l5’s dual 2 ohm wired series
parallel for a 2 ohm load which should be pushin a lil over 1000 watts but
i havent seen my amps 1000 watts yet
Also.. the main power fuse to the amp needs to be within 12″ of where it is
connected to power. (not in the fuse box) – (ideal – directly to “hot” on
the battery)… this is jankety BS. informative but not correct….
U fucked to car up
Can someone email me to help me out with an install! Nyymatman02@yahoo.com
lol lost 600 songs. i lost 15k last year. thanks for video though!

@red2chfd like i said. it was easier and i didnt have the right equipment
on hand when i first installed it
can u show the wireing for the sub i put my rca on the sub wire an it did
not work
The thing that is connected to the fuse and when you connect somthing to
the fuse the computer starts reading other signals that it dont understand
thats why alot of times the check engine comes on or service needed
could it be a grounding problem?
