Ay man you got mad skills! I’m trying to do this to my 2002 Seville as well. If I may ask, where’d you get that software for the schematics? And, in this project you aren’t using a dedicated amp at all? You’re just using the stereo headunit? Thanks

Thomas Drew says:

Hector I need help with my 99 deville

KoolAidBuzz says:

Yeeeah Hector! I’ve watched this video about a dozen times as I am thinking of doing this myself and you have the best video I’ve found. So basically run new lines from the h/u back to the wires off the amp and all is well? You tied the tweeter to the front door speakers to power both from one output right? Thanks for any extra help, you do great work!

Andrew Burns says:

Very nice work. Now the pioneers lcd in dash(replace head unit)…dis you replaxe the apeakers afterwards as well? May I ask, what was the total cost including labor (ballpark)? Stinks your in AZ…im in MA

Thomas Drew says:

jewllake says:

You don’t have to be so harsh. I have three GM cars with BLOSE; all 2006. It is a step above basic AM/FM CD stock radios. The speakers are garbage. I had to use infinity 2ohm speakers and it really woke up my BLOSE. My cars, 2006 Monte Carlo SS; 2006 GMC Yukon SLT with Navigation, and a 2006 GMC Sierra SLT.

Nole Perez says:

If i rewire all the Active audio system in a 95 Cadillac it has a E&C data if i replace the stereo and the amp, along with speakers,,,sony cd autotek /mean machine amp 4 channel 1400 watts ifinity speakers, let me know on the E&C data bus line,or pre eq crapp! i have the service manual for this car,,Thanks

Chad Thorne says:

awesome job man wish you lived in AZ 🙂

724rdr says:

Great job. Did you have to cut the metal support behind the radio to get the unit to fit flush.

Jim Rojas says:

damn bro. i wish you would take a trip to miami and work on my 2002 seville. right now im looking for the double din’s dash so it looks factory clean. what do you recommend?

I was wondering where do you get your wiring diagrams

taranjs78 says:

Hey John, I was just wondering if it is possible to use the bose amp, speakers, and head unit outside the car (i mean like at home). Actually I have all the stuff that I took out of a cadillac seville 1999. I tried to connect everything but the radio doesn’t turn on. Will be really grateful if you could tell me if it is possible to use it outside the car. If yes, can you tell me the correct wiring connections. Also, if you could tell me which software do you use? Thanks!!

javiderek31 says:

I like your style of doing work on cars man good job!

j8hnb says:

Hey this is John, I have a 2001 Cadillac Deville. I upgraded the sound system. My problem is I had to use the GMOS-06. When I start the car a loud sound comes out the speakers until I put on the radio face. When I turn off the car and take off the radio face it still makes a loud sound again. I dont have a clue on what to do?? Can you please help me?? Thank you so much!!

slimdeezy84 says:

I got a 02 dhs I was wondering if I buy a just a regular wire harness no gmos if I can still get the power to the radio instead of cutting the ignition wire and just cut the speaker wires

mano69mtz says:

Would this work on deville 01 and great job you the man

tyma1026 says:

One more thing that I want to point out about the way I installed everything is that I can not fade to the rear although all speakers are working. It’s all in the wiring that gm/bose did and not a mistake on my part. It would be better to run wires directly from the speakers all the way back to the amps. Due to the amazing heat that we had here in Cincinnati I was not able to do this myself. Good luck to anyone trying this and Thank you many times to the OP.

tyma1026 says:

I actually don’t think I need the GMOS-06 at all unless I want to keep the chimes. Or unless you start having problems with the electrical gremlins that wreak havoc on these cars sometimes with the factory amp and stereo removed

tyma1026 says:

I wish that I had seen your video a little sooner but I still got the job done anyway. I used the GMOS-06 to keep my chimes and install an aftermarket head unit. Just yesterday I decided to put in two four channel amps and to bypass the amp altogether. There is a Metra Kit that will do this so you don’t have to splice into your factory wiring. The kit greatly reduced the time it took to do this install and was only 30$. .

Hector's Tint Alarms & Audio / Video says:

This video is to bypass the bose amps, so you don’t need any interfacing module’s…

Edwin Gutierrez says:

did you install the Axxess GMOS-06 to it??

Hector's Tint Alarms & Audio / Video says:

Thanks bro ! Comments like your’s make the extra work for these videos , worth it ! GOD BLESS YOU!

Jaime Villa says:

Say bro, right now i am diong bad on cash and am trying to save the >$60. I really appreciate this. not everyone can do it but for those who are willing to try it’s very detailed. Thanks a billion!!! May GOD bless you with good fortune and good karma… I been fooling with this stereo for about a week…but i think i got it. Thanks agian.

Analyzer52 says:

I’m done going back and forth but you can bypass the amp and still have the chimes. They maybe annoying but necessary.

Hector's Tint Alarms & Audio / Video says:

You said the gmos which will use the bose amp pre eq’ed low bad sound ?????? Its up to the customer, but 99% don’t want it , and for what the chime is annoying…

Analyzer52 says:

There is no sound to be gained by leaving it out, you have already bypassed the amp to gain better sound. Nothing is added sound wise by disabling the door chimes.
