Check out my 2008 Cadillac cts walk around….

Steve Green says:

Hi, very informative video thanks, just a few questions… my radio/ nav unit is bad from a jump start , so now all my centre console is dead… nothing works. Fault code UO186 came up no coms with radio. Another factory unit needs VIN programmed in by dealer to work with car!
Does this need a VIN matched to car ?
How good are the instructions for wiring it up with the car?

Steph Robinson says:

Seems odd to have the old controls when you have all the same controls on the deck! I think the Android 10.2 is better since it removes all that.

Spell Breaker says:

@OCTANE TV what about onstar and stuff do that still work ?

Mr. 2sick4u says:

That cd slot and all the buttons are now obsolete correct as in i could not put that part back in ?

Jayden Delgado says:

How much would something like this cost ?

vtx106 says:

What city is your shop located? I have a 2012 cts and would be interested in you doing the same install on mine. Very informative video btw, thanks for making it.

Hey thanks for making this video. Just bought a 2013 CTS coupe today with intentions of doing exactly what you showed. And now I have a step by step guide, specifically with popping out all the plastic parts. 🙂 Good timing! You got my sub. Also will be watching to see what Jeremy Hall figures out with his non starting problem. Being an electronics tech for the last 25 years I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me. Where a particular action SEEMS to be related to the problem that just occurred. But, no. Just a really weird coincidence.

Jeremy Hall says:

Trying to install same kit I have no wiring experience how hard is it to wire up?

Criss P says:

Awesome video…this channel is dope too…with backup cam install… https://youtube.com/channel/UCG4mbAxNBQb5dlJgINTF8Tw

Don’t recommend using crimps, taps, or buds in a car. Eventually with heat and wear depending on where you live, you increase the risk of a vehicle fire. Which Ive experienced in Miami. I would recommend solder and double heatshrink
