Cadillac ATS 2.5 Luxury: Engine Replacement – Part V

Cadillac ATS 2.5 Luxury: Engine Replacement – Part V

In this video I bring you along as I go through the process of swapping out an engine in a 2015 Cadillac ATS Luxury 2.5L RWD. Everything is swapped over and now it is time to swap the transmission over to the “new” engine and add the final pieces before we slip it back in the caddy.
-Enjoy!

H.J. J says:

Eric, I am truly enjoying this series. Maybe not to you, but to me this was a major undertaking. How you remember what is what and where it goes just boggles my mind. Looking forward to turning the key, cranking the engine and watching you pat yourself on the back.

Peter Benson says:

Im fascinated to know why the other engine was condemned but maybe I missed that. Of course the suspense about the “new” engine viability is off the charts!!

Max SS396 says:

Just swap a 6.4L hemi in a 2015 Ram. Took me 28 hours. Book says 12 or something like that. I must be slow. Unbelievable number of electrical connector. Went well though. Slow, methodical and lots-o-pics.

Kakeeto Alex says:

Don't know how much you charged for this, but it ain't worth it, me thinks..
Some things just ain't worth the money!

Mark Petrassi says:

When I worked rebuilding transmissions , our rebuild room was in the opposite corner of the shop from our parts storage. There where three lifts between us and the parts. One day my buddy Dean decides he is going to run over to the parts room. Never saw the car up on the lift and runs right into the head high tire, knocked out cold.

Mark McKinley says:

Curious what died on the original engine. Looks like new. Those lift tables look interesting but still have not bought one myself either.

John says:

get better !

Ohh Paul says:

looks like you are going to need to drop the handle on the lift table to get the motor in, does it do that? last one I used it flipped over the table to go down and that wont work for you.

Dirk says:
