Thanks for the video, especially the 19 mm “hidden” bolt. Changed plugs while watching your video and kinda going slow to avoid a oops or two and finished start to finish in 2 hrs. 17 minutes. Shop wanted to bill me for 3.5.
For those asking if you need to change the upper intake gasket – YES. As soon as you move the plenum you are likely going to tear/break the factory paper gasket that is now hard and brittle. Just carefully remove all the variouls plug ins surrounding the plenum except for the fuel line (located on the top front left). The fuel line will pivot and allow you to move or rotate the plenum. Make sure and remove all the old gasket using a razor blade from the intake and the plenum.
Very helpfully video, had a misfire code p0303 so I change the spark plugs, put everything back and still having the same code, plus now I have a new code p0203 can anyone advise what I need to do..
Hello good video btw, so i’m having the same problem number 6 misfire, if that is the only thing i want to change for now till i get a tune-up, do i have to still remove the plenum?? or just the hose on top? will be able to change out spark plug with out removing the plenum? thanks

did you have to replace the upper intake gasket? the Chilton’s manual called for a gasket replacement.

When you removed the air intake piping did it have like a puddle of oil in it? Is that normal? 3.6 liter V6….
I have the same car with 115,000 miles on it, I plan on changing the plugs, but also the fuel filter, where/how do you change that?? TY.

Hey I have the 4.6 northstar V8. Is it the same way to get to the plugs?
So tune ups on this cars is nothing hard and you can do it if you have tools right?

Awesome video bud, I have a bud with 05 cad CTS 3.6 111k n has 3 cly mis fires u think its time for plugs? Guess I should check coils too.
