It does sound like a pump problem
hahha don’t worry theres more hard bolts to get too! love it. really good
job
have an 02 DTS,, at adle it overheats, blows cold air from heater, but at
higher rpm’s its fine.and heater works as should, does that sound like
water pump ?
WIN YOU GET DUN AND IT’S SOMKING OUT THE BACK WHAT IS THAT FROM??? NO
LEEK’S JUST SMOK AND BRAKES NOW GOSE TO THE FLOR ..
Similar to Cool-it, used in race aplications. It will lower the overall
temp but will not solve the problem.
Did the water pump go out because of the water belt that tore up OR because
the of the pumps old age?
Ok what bout this liq thats called blue devil its like 70 bucks have u
heard of it in does it work
@deapozol Na, the belt goes due to the water pump locking up, then destroys
the pullys. If you own one with 120,000 miles on it, it should be done as
maintenance to prevent the pullys from being destroyed and save a little
loot. OnePeace
You may want to buy the pump and antifreeze yourself and save a few more
bucks, the install price is a good one.
@2012nugget Yo my 2000 caddy dts is overheating only when I stop could it
be the water pump? Someone said it could be air in lines
What are these engineers thinking? I’m still not taking mind to the
Dealership.
@deapozol I wouldn’t worry till arround 120,000, you should be just fine
till then.
lot of work for a pump
Well when you stop you loose the air flow through the front and the motor
slows, so it will be either the water pump blade or the fan not working .
If you have air in the lines it would indicate a blown cylinder head.
excellent video’s, keep up the great work!
Hey man, nice video. I have the same car and I noticed a funny little noise
coming from the water pump so I called a mechanic to my office and asked
him to take a look at it. I already knew I had to replace it but I just
wanted to make sure. The noise if not that bad just yet but I want to take
care of this before it ruins my day. The guy is charging me $100 to change
the pump out and he said the pump will run me around 100 to 150, you think
those prices are ok? I seen pumps online for way less.
Mine has 50,000 miles on it and it’s an 08. Should I be worried about this
at this time? Or am I o.k for now?
