in the old days, the tip would wear down on the plugs. i noticed when i
changed the plugs in my car, the tips looked new, but the side electrode
had worn out a concave spot on them. i guess with the platinum and iridium
tips that they hold up much better.
It was either 1998 or 99 manufacturers started giving notces out to their
dealership on not usng ant seize on plugs, I was working at a SC Pepboys
when we received our letter stating the findings. Haven’t used anti seize
snce then and never had an issue, aluminum heads or not, the key wth
aluminum heads is that you dont go crazy tight on the plugs, sadly some
diyers do and in their heads they feel anti seize is a must, its not.
I liked you leaving it on a cliff hanger, was it the plugs or coils 😀
Those plugs looked rather light in colour, it isnt running too lean or the
wrong grade of plugs making it look lean, perhaps, maybe lol.
