Excellent videos my friend.
Couldn't you remove that bar and replace them easier. I don't know. Never did this before either but I'm going to have to.
Hey, Mike- nice to see you again. If you check out my video of this- you can see that those "captured body nuts" aren't really "nuts" at all, but just a glob of threaded soft metal, with a parallelogram-shaped base. Nothing to put a wrench onto, and no way for any penetrant to wick inside. I had to drill out the spot welds of the pockets (4) dig them out, and make my own. I used Permatex green synthetic grease to assemble and protect them. Please see https://youtu.be/ssjslu9xdWg?t=904 and https://youtu.be/ssjslu9xdWg?t=2060 for more info. Thanks!
I feel your pain… been there before with my own Buick, not fun at all.
Can't you compress the mounts with a vise?
Good job. Missing 2 lower washers on 2000 Lesabre MI car. Waiting on the PB blaster to work.
Im having the same problems… Do you know how many bushings I need for a 99 Buick Park Ave.?
Thanks!
Nice jig you made there, great idea.
Great vid brother, cool shirt and good work. Cheers The Dizz
