How to replace front brakes on GMC Acadia Buick Enclave Chevy Traverse

This is a fast paced tutorial for replacing (removing and installing) the front brake pads and rotors on a 2013 GMC Acadia. This procedure should be the same on model years 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and is applicable to Chevrolet (Chevy) Traverse, Buick Enclave, and Saturn Outlook.

This video demonstrates what to do if your brake hardware is poorly manufactured causing your brake pads not to fit. In the video I demonstrate how to remove the spring tabs on one side of the hardware so the brake pad WILL fit. This brake hardware problem is common on brake parts from Autozone and Oreilly’s.

The tools I use in this video are (In the order they appear): 1/2″ ratchet, 22mm socket, 3/8″ ratchet, Torx T30 socket, 13mm socket, Brake parts cleaner, 8″ C-clamp, 45 degree needle nose pliers, and a flat-blade screwdriver.

The tightening torque for each brake caliper slide is 47 ft/lbs.
