i was convinced that this car dont use battery…. ok i found it…. thanks

Glovotch says:

Be sure you get battery type 100-1 with 770 cold crank amps (CCA). In
addition to what is shown in the video, you have to pull off the vent ports
at the sides of the battery and also remove the hold-down clamp at the
bottom. Don’t use a battery without the vent ports because the fumes will
destroy your rear seat.

thank you .thank you…!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was told a dealer had to do this as removing the battery would cause the
‘computer’ to mess up. Is this true?

HI Frederick, Thanks for visiting our channel on YouTube. Have a great day!.

1A Auto Parts says:

@pskittle488 I’m not 100% sure of the engineers decision behind this.
Possibly not enough room in the engine compartment, and lack of trunk space.

Is it much harder to replace the battery? Our Buick is dead in the water,
won’t even jump, in our driveway. We were having battery problems for a
while, so I am pretty sure that is it. I don’t even think it has ever had a
new battery. So we were wondering how hard it would be to replace it.

1A Auto Parts says:

You may want to see if they list it as fitting your vehicle.

This video shows you how to replace the battery in a Buick Lesabre.

Richard Williams says:

Interesting… my question is: Why? Why did GM locate the battery here? Why
not the trunk?

WORDSRFREE says:

The battery under the seat should provide useful power for an amplifier for
the parcel shelf speakers, unless “passlock” has an issue and the car stops
working.

Dana H says:

Excellent video, I knew it was under back seat but not sure I wanted to
start taking things apart without knowing what I was getting into. Your
video was just what I needed, simple and to the point…Thanks.

frederick welsh says:
