Joseph Briggs says:

Thanks alot. I can’t find very much videos for 97-03 grand prix’s. You saved me from going to the shop.

norcofactoryrider03 says:

you guys didnt need to remove the balljoint to access hub bolts? some videos show needing to remove the ball joint on the GP.
im going to be changing my bearing tomorrow. hopefully goes as planned in this video

1aauto says:

You should be able to tell by looking at the ABS wire on the back of the hub. The dealer could also run the VIN number and tell you what came on your vehicle. We carry both hubs with free shipping in the lower 48 states on our website 1aauto.com.

MrShadow1021 says:

I have a 01 Grand Prix GT 3.8, is there anyway to find out whether the HUB assembly has a plastic or steel wire? I would just like to know before I go buy the parts…

SPCDayton4577 says:

We found out the issue. It was a worn out front Sway bar Link

1aauto says:

You may want to check all of the steering and suspension pieces to see if anything is worn out. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

SPCDayton4577 says:

Hi. I need a little help. My dad’s 2005 Chevy Impala is making a weird noise near the right front suspension. Every time he hits the brakes, it will make a loud pop. I need suggestions. Any ideas? Thanks!

1aauto says:

When you replace the studs you really should not need anything else when you remove the hub to do the install.

Brolitz Litz says:

how come you didn’t just remove the axle from the hub? I have a honda civic and I’m fixing to remove the hub to replace a broken wheel lug stud; I have to remove the hub because its small and driving the lug hits the part where the hub attaches.

Here the question, I’f I remove the hub, are there parts needing replacement other than the wheel stud I mentioned, are there seals that I should replace?

Thank you

1aauto says:

The issue could be with the axle on the left side of the vehicle since the noise only happens during right hand turns. Axles go out for numerous reason but weight is never an issue with axles.

Hey man great vid I just had a quick question on my old car I would always have to put front wheel bearings it was a 92 ford explorer I sold it and I got a 03 trailblazer and I think my front wheel bearing are bad just on one side tho every time I make a right hand turn I hear a noise but when I just drive or turn left theres no noise you think it could be the bearing also I’m a big guy could that be a reason y I don’t have good luck with bearings ?

1aauto says:

It should take around an hour.

How long does it take a professional to replace one on the front driver side of a 2000 Toyota Rav 4?

Thank you.

1aauto says:

Both sides. We carry a nice brake pad and rotor kit for these cars, you could follow the video and change them yourself. It’s not to hard to do. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

LawsonIntel says:

Thanks you for resonding, is that for both front side or just one side?

1aauto says:

It normally runs around $300+ depending upon the hourly rate of the shop.

LawsonIntel says:

how much does it cost to bring it to the garage to get it fix? Thanks.

1aauto says:

You may need a bolt extractor to get it out.

Jose Ocampo says:

how to i take out a broken head screw bolt

1aauto says:

It may help to gain you a little more clearance.

1aauto says:

You’re welcome. On vehicles that have over 100,000 on them it doesn’t hurt to replace both bearings at the same time if one goes bad. Usually the other side isn’t to far behind it if it hasn’t gone bad already. Sometimes it’s easier when you have all of the tools out.

1aauto says:

The issue sounds more like brake issue than a wheel bearing. If it happens only under braking then it is only related to the brake system.

Maxwell Peart says:
