And,done. Strange thing, the bracket seems to be missing on my GTP. Humm.
Might have to hunt one down.

Jim McClinsey says:

Thanks man, doing this on my 00 GTP soon 🙂

Hey great vid! Im trying to change my fuel filter and it seems that the
bolt you remove with the 5/8 seems to be rusted onto the filter end itself.
I try turning it and the filter turns as well, so im not really able to get
anything going. Is there a way i can get the bolt to move itself without
the filter moving with it?

Glad the video helped, as far as the bracket goes I would try a wrecking
yard they are almost always cheaper then the stealership is.

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

Glad the video could help you.

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

Thanks for the comment. I’m glad the video could help you.

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

Yeah I hope the pump isn’t dying on ya they are a pain to change out, you
might want to try some fuel system cleaner if the filter doesn’t work. It
is also possible however unlikely the catalytic converter might be plugged
up, cant hurt to go to an exhaust shop and have them check it for ya.

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

Awesome glad you liked the video 🙂 I got more coming so if you subscribe
youtube should send you an email telling you about it.

Revolcisum420 says:

goes wrong it all does thanks

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

Your welcome, just please do be careful anytime you are dealing with
gasoline I wouldn’t want you or anyone else to get hurt due to a careless
mistake.

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

No Problem! Glad the video could help ya

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

I never thought to check it I changed it to get rid of the annoying lag
(you know when you hit the gas and it wont go?)

Guy Bowen says:

what was your mpg before and after the fuel filter change

NoDak Savage says:

The 99 Park Avenue is getting sluggish to the point where at times it’s not
even reacting to the gas pedel from dead stops. Hope this fixes my problem
and it’s not the actual pump itself.

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

Not a problem. Happy to help.

MetallicRain says:

Great video. Straight to the point! Thanks!

redhatseth says:

perfect video and like the other guy said straight to the point.. awesome!

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

You might try spraying some penetrating oil (wd40, etc.) between the
threads. You will have to let it soak for a bit and you might have to tap
it with the wrench . Also use caution when trying to get any rusted
together components loose the rust could make them easier to break. Hope
this helps.

Quentin Roseburgh says:

Thanks so much! I appreciate the help! Especially with your videos!

GRANDPRIXGT1999 says:

Awesome! Glad this video helped you

PhattyMo says:

I’m about to go do this. Was pretty sure how it was done, but just wanted to
review,and make sure! Thanks!
