Glad you got some of that dexcool out. It gums up in there after a while if it gets exposed to oxygen.

As the son of a Buick Man, I totally understand every part of this as I have been through it many times. The entire engine needs to swivel up to access plugs… that's why the front brackets are there. My biggest stressor is the mixture of SAE and Metric (well no, it's using a come-along and swiveling an engine up for simple maintenance. At least it's the bulletproof 3.8. Like the Ford 300 inline 6, it's hard to argue with longevity.

This is a pretty good instructional video. I'm certainly going to wear some gloves when i do this job on my buick (my last big job was changing out all 4 shocks and man my hands were so cut up after that, even got a couple scars lol). Harbor freight sells some decent quality deerskin gloves if you are looking for gloves with some good dextarity.

Also I think I'm going to use a torque wrench and some blue loctite when tightening everything back up again. Its pretty uncommon but it is not impossible for bolts to work themselves loose due to engine and road vibrations and then next thing you know you hit a bad pothole and the radiator gets knocked out of place. Also im thinking of taking the engine guard off and see if i cant loosen up some of those hard to reach bolts from below.

Best make sure the car doesn't have a blown intake gasket. If it does, it will definitely cause a leak in the new radiator

It looks like the square metal piece that holds the mass air flow sensor is turned about 45 degrees to one side.
