I have two Buick 455 engines available in central California. One is a high compression .038 over (463 cu. in.) with flat top pistons, zero deck, modified oiling w/big pump, custom cam, complete carb to pan including exhaust manifolds. Also has modified TH400 transmission. Last run in a circle track car in about 1990, and it requires at least 100 octane fuel. The other 455 is complete except carb and was built for installation in a 3/4T '81 Suburban. It is low compression and built specifically to run on regular gas. This engine also includes a TH400 trans, but the output shaft is the truck version for bolt on yoke. With minor tinkering both engines and transmission should run perfectly with little effort or expense. Like most Buick 455's both engines would benefit from new cam bearings, timing chains, and maybe front covers. Make offer.
