now i’m in a 2.2 4cyl and this would be a jump up to 3.8 V6.
My mechanic said he cut the ends of the hoses of the AC and reglued them,
and they worked. I thought it was a sensor problem, but it seems to be a
suction issue moreso. Anyone figure out why the tape player says it is in
use, when no tape is there?
I have the same car. Watch the Intake Manifold. It had a recall pending
when they went BK, and the case went away. They blow, and cause damage.
Seatbelts in the backseat were also on recall, needed some parts to fix.
The AC sensors go. Other than that, and the tape decks quit, they go for a
long time. If you stop passing smog, check the intake manifolds. My had
been replaced by the DEALERSHIP, and forgot to put the O ring in the vacuum
hose…..
I snapped off the cup holder arms, they are not that sturdy. Mine has
130,000 miles so far. It is my third BUICK…. May not get another. Too
many problems with GM, not the car so much, but GM has been a nightmare!
Great car, I picked myself up a blue one (same style) and it drives
spectacularly, especially for the price I got it. So did you ever figure
out the Mid vents and A/c problem? I had to replace the door blend actuator
to get my heater working..

You have to say how much you paid WTF.
I knocked off the side drivers rear view mirror, too. We bondo’d it back on
and taped it for a week. It held. It is ok still…
love these cars, but 1997 doesnt make it old!

I was considering on a Buick leSabre around this year or a 94-96 Cadillac
Deville. That Lesabre is really nice….
