they look just alike. most people didnt know that chevy made a 4.3 v8. i
did some research. its an opti but i wasnt able to find if there the exact
same. i doubt it tho
Nice Buick! Wow, never saw an ignition system like that before. Or, a
waterpump driven off the camshaft either.. Very Unique!!

You shold pull that LT1 out & put it in your Colbalt SS…LoL
are the opti on the 5.7 the same on the 4.3?

Drill a small hole and thread a screw to get that Drive seal out! I think I
have a video.. It works real fast!

yeah your right, I knew someone who had a 4.3 V8 in their Caprice. I
immediately thought you were talking about the 4.3 V6. If the 4.3 and 5.7
were the same then I would guess the opti were the same. Do a parts search
on Rock Auto and see if the part numbers are the same. That will tell you
for sure.
when the opti is bad does it just spin and sound kind of whiny?

I would guess around $500
I didn’t know the 4.3 used an opti spart as well. Since the LT1 and 4.3 are
different engines I am guna say they are not the same.
