ALSO I SAW THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT YOUR MUSIC. PEOPLE ARE REALLY AMAZING, I MEAN A GUY IS TEACHING YOU THIS STUFF FOR FREE AND YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT THE PETTY STUFF LIKE HIS MUSIC!! GET OVER YOURSELVES!!!! KEEP IT UP SIR AND I THANK YOU!

Josh Howard says:

I have a 2003 lesabre 2000-2005 are all the same and I found it much easier to undo the 2 bolts from the suspension and take em out and pivot everything down then prying the a arm so hard my eye's was bulging out my head

John W says:

I know this is way late of a comment but..Can you pull the axle through the wheel bearing opening. After the wheel bearing is removed?.

smithraymond09029 says:

So why was the tulip shape different between the old and new part? Design changes? Or was it the wrong part?

Good video. Regarding the Lesabre CV axle replacement: If not familiar with the vehicle, I think a viewer would miss that you (seemingly) loosened the 3 upper strut bolts in order to have enough "wiggle room" to move the steering knuckle/wheel to side to gain access to the axle. (I don't think you mentioned that). Interesting that most other video posters instead removed the lower two knuckle to strut bolts in order to get the "wiggle room". Could you comment on why you chose that route? Easier perhaps, or maybe eliminates having to get an aligment? I'm about to install my axles.

Kugel Sicher says:

Yo. That axle nut is probably a 27mm. 1-1/16 just happens to be very, very close to the same size and works because of the oversize tolerances in the socket. Good video, though. Showed me everything I needed to know. Cheers!!

Julian Osterhaus says:

Wish you had made this 4 years ago. I tightened the ball joint nut so much it cracked the steering knuckle. Last time I did a repair like that it was on iron and it didn't matter, this is soft aluminum! I had to wait for the wrecker to find a replacment knuckle. Your comment on just make it tight is very very true.

Alexander Hartley says:

This video is very good, the "music" is annoying. Thank you. 🙂

Erin King says:

What if the lower ball joint wont pop out in your method

John Teti says:

Very watchable . Just had mine done and I was curious as to what exactly went on down there. Started out to replace a ball joint and the axle was in bad shape so I told him to go ahead and do that too. I was just curious as to what it was all about thanks

Rich Touchet says:

You've got the car on a lift. I wonder if there would be enough room to pull down on the pry bar to re-seat the ball joint if it was jacked up to floor jack height? I've got a demolition bar that's thicker and longer than the ones you used, and should make that part of the job easier. Since it's longer and won't bend somewhat. Did you remove the steering rod end bearings?

Joshua Pennekamp says:

The reason why it explodes on that side, and it keeps breaking on that side is because of a bad front engine mount. If you can shake the engine by hand, and it easily moves, it's the front engine mount. I replaced the front engine mount and the cv joint, and now my cv joint doesn't break all the time anymore. It's a very common problem.

brenda rager says:

Thanks this is just what I was looking for I was changing an axle on my car and I needed some advice you were stright to the point and very clear about what to do I will look for your videos when I'm seeking more advice. You are a lifesaver.

jayson martin says:

Straight forward and simple. Cheers man!

John Wagner says:

Good job but could do without the music. Could the axle be bad if not grease leaking? Mine looks perfect but getting slight vibration in the steering wheel at 50 mph and at 70 mph. Rebalanced all wheels 3 times and alignment done AND rechecked again. All new tires but front tires are showing slight cupping already. They're only a few months old. Tierods and balljoints checked out tight. The right side axle seal that goes into the transmission IS weeping A bit but not bad at all. Nothing that would cause my issue I don't think. But no leaking from the boots. A real head scratcher. I hear that on these cars that the axles are a common problem. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks.8. Also, before installing the new axle, can you replace the seal that goes into the transmission or do you have to take off the trans cover to get at the seal?

Bobby Leonard says:

Very informative. I have done this repair before, years ago on our 2004 Buick Lesabre. Passenger side is losing grease now. I was looking to refresh my memory. Perfect. Thank you.
