Windscreen Washer Jets On A BMW Not Working – How To Fix – DIY

In this video I show a step by step process of how to diagnose and fix the issue of windscreen washer jets not working on a BMW 318d, I am using a BMW in this video but the method I use to find and fix the problem is pretty much the same across most Makes and Models of vehicles.
If you have a pump making noise you go down the easy road of clearing out a blockage and it can be as simple as a minute job on one of these if that is your only issue.

Nice work. But I'm still not getting any spray. I hooked up a light tester to the circuit and flip the switch and the column. The wipers move indicating that it recieved signal from the stock but no light comes on the light tester at all. Any ideas at all????

Good video—Just goes to show that modern BMW's are not as robust as the older ones. I never heard of a washer pump failing on an E30. My washer pump is still happily buzzing away 30 years on.

Nice Gerard, what did you use to give the motor power out of the car ? power probe ? or just the cars harness ( via the steering wheel stalk)…. nice work making her squirt again 🙂
