Thanks for the video and vague information. Some consumer details about
“the unit” would be helpful. What exactly is “the unit” and from whom can
it be purchased? The question was asked a couple of times below but never

I am considdering this as an option in my e39, but i have some concerns:
How are the buttons compared to that of the original stereo?
Do they make loud noises and feel cheap or does it feel like quality?
How about the volume wheel?
Also, does this communicate with the original steeringwheel controlls?
How good is the gps compared to for example a new mobile phone, faster or
slower?
And how is the sound quality?
Let me hear from you, and maby i can get myself a good looking stereo

hi, how did you remove the old plastic housing? did it unscrew/unclip out
or did you have to cut it?
What brand/model is this unit? I’ve been searching everywhere and can’t
find a nice after market stereo for a bmw that blends like this one.
I managed to get it out, but it was hard. If I have to do it again I will
just cut it, it will be easier.

How did you take out the radio bracket?
You just have to stick the antenna inside somewhere behind the dvd. It’s
magnetic. It works flawlessly.
pity about the curve and not lining up flush to the wood parts
