In my experience if you put steel bolts in a ultrasonic cleaner with alloy parts it can blacken the alloy, for best results try not to put different materials in the cleaner at the same time, i know its not always possible , but top work as always loving the build.

Do you think the ring gap between gasoline and hydrogen would be any different? Hydrogen would seem like it can run a bit leaner since it’s injected as a gas instead of as a vapor like gasoline. The lean burn might create a little more heat? I don’t know for sure just a thought.

You had to replace THREADED METAL PLUGS just because you removed them from the engine? That's what I hate most about working on European cars: They're designed with parts that have to be replaced if you install them ONCE. And I'm not talking about rod bolts either, I mean O-rings and axle seals.
