New Crankshaft Position Sensor from 1AAuto.com https://trq.video/ib-1AECS00161
This video shows you how to install a new crankshaft position sensor from TRQ on your 2006-2010 BMW 550i (4.8L V8). The crankshaft position sensor is an important component of any electronically controlled ignition system. The sensor provides the computer with data about the position of the crank shaft to properly adjust ignition timing. If the sensor in your vehicle is broken or malfunctioning, you may suffer poor performance, or get a check engine light.
Once the sensor is installed, you will need to use a manufacturer scan tool to perform a crankshaft position sensor relearn.
This repair was done on a 2008 BMW 550i Base 4.8L Sedan 4-Door RWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2006 BMW 550i
2007 BMW 550i
2008 BMW 550i
2009 BMW 550i
2010 BMW 550i
