Aric Eff says:

Even a factory seatbelt has some give to it in an accident. The mounting points metal actually bends a bit

Aric Eff says:

Check out B is for build, he explains harnesses and submarining.

boutthatboost says:

are you getting a chassis mount shifter?

Zack Medo says:

It’s gotta be at least another 6 inches long to be drift spec

Scott says:

A lot of back and forth motion to get it off…

Golden Sim says:

that extension is pretty sweet , kinda want one on mine too now , especially that locking botton ,its anoying when trying to have fun sometimes it dosent release

Andreas Kist says:

The ASM thing is so that you don't slip down and out of your seat in a frontal collision. Otherwise you'll end up crumpling your legs real bad. As you said, due to the breakaway being only on one side, it will behave like a three point belt in regular road legal cars. It lets your upper body go a bit forward and basically "wraps" you around the lower part of the belt. If it wouldn't, your butt would be sliding forward.

jimmehvideos says:

Please do some skids asap!

2burning2turning says:

A cable handbrake used for drifting isn't going to work. All you'll do is stretch the cable. Spent the extra and get a hydraulic setup.

Rej Bernier says:

Thanks for the tip about the seat belt ASM/DOT compliancy, will keep that in mind.

pFbSpecV says:

You guys make such awesome videos! Keep up the work! Cant wait for the drift cars on the track!

will rogers says:

please swap the passenger seat to match. I can't get past the asymmetry hahaha

Adam Williams says:

I'm no bimmer expert but if the parking brake cable is like most other vehicles, each side has it's own adjustment, hence the two adjustment points.

mas921 says:

I used to remove the rear seats, and strip the trunk when I went drifting for weight reduction, but it actually felt worse with less weight in the rear! Although I imply you guys did it for aesthetics; but until you corner weigh without the seats, I highly recommend keeping them there. a full tank also helps ^_^.

scrotube says:

He said e28! MORE e28!!!!

Richard Hensley says:

Does the Takata seat harness work better than their airbags.

Nathaniel Barbeau says:

Those E30 switches are extremely satisfying to push.

Mario Funk says:

Guys… What are you doing cutting holes in the back seat?! Why not just use sheet metal painted black, or carpeted plywood??

VEDEM RACING says:

Insert meme….

Jack Hartley says:

rip ebrake cable

Wes LoGiudice says:

None of the e46's have threaded handbrake buttons. I believe I left a comment on one of your previous videos stating this and lots of other info. But that only helps if you read them.

GordoWG1 WG1 says:

That is a lot of messing around – should just have had someone hold the release button in while you drilled it for an "R" type clip – stick it in when competing and take it out for normal use. A bit more complicated is modifying the pawl arrangement to a fly-off button – with this, the button is pushed in to lock and is normally 'free' in that the ratched/pawl doesn't engage.

Richard Meyer says:

Make sure you take the bulb out of the e30 window switch if they are lit switches. Ask me how I know…

Orney says:

Should have put in a hydro ebrake where you can get a long handle and maybe some dual piston calipers which can really help you modulate the car better than stock.

scoobygms210 says:

ASM harness are the number one reason for aftermarket part injuries ! Never ever USE ONE NEVER !

Max Zimmermann says:

Can't stop laughing at that ebrake adjustment, that's not how you are supposed to do it 😀
