Hi this is Andy from England i had exactly the same problem with my e46 coupe 1999 model yr . for days the window would,nt work like it should until i looked in u tube for a cheap fix, and aftrer watching ur video the problem was SOLVED thanks alot.

When you went to place the dissassembled switch back into the housing you might not have had the finger switch lever positioned properly.. I know i had an issue aligning it. Try taking it appart again and re-aligning it. I think to have it in the correct spot there should be 2 UP positions..
this is my problem. when i push the switch to pull up ,the window go down instead. thanks again dude..i will follow ure channel for sure
