Ronald Adkins says:

The tire pressure is located on the door not the tire that’s the max the
tire will hold that care probably rides like a brick high pressure will
make the ride hard and your more prone to popping the tire also your tire
is going to wear uneven the center is going to wear before the outside like
that this guy has no clue don’t listen to him

Did you put the oem sensors in your tires with the 21s? I have 22s and the
rear tire is a 295/25/22 and im not sure if the oem tps will fit in. Im
sick of the warning light coming on lol

Master Xia says:

as said: maximum is not equal optimum ;)

Rob Todd says:

What teesalmon said. That’s the max the tyre will take. On the e65 std
tyres are at about 29-35 depending in the axle and load

Chris, the pressures molded on the side wall of the tire are not what you
should be going by. I am not sure about all vehicles, but I believe there
should be a decal inside the driver’s door that will indicate front and
rear cold tire pressures. The vehicle dynamics engineers at BMW will
determine the pressures (at least for the stock tires) that are what they
feel is the best compromise of handling safety, ride, stopping distance,
etc. Too high is probably better than too low for sure.
