DIY BMW E46 A-PILLAR REPAIR: REUPHOLSTERING, RECOVERING

Sick of looking at the torn fabric on my 330CI a-pillars so I did something about it. DIY reupholster attempt went better than expected. Didn’t take too long, just a couple hours and I’m very pleased with the finished results.

I had never attempted to do anything like this previously, so anyone can do this. Just takes some fabric, adhesive, and patience. Just follow the directions on the adhesive can and liquid stitch bottle. Saved about $200 in parts doing this myself.

Congrats Joe. I've recently had my headliner replaced on a 316 and as i was taking off the pillars, they broke where they buckle up on the dashboard, plus they need what you did. What type of fabric you bought, how slim is it?

Greg Phillips says:

A few months on, how's it holding up?
