Thank you for posting this video. It is very informative. I already tried to fix my radio by only cleaning the ribbon, but it did not work, so I may try it this way. BMW offered me 50% off part, not labor to replace the instrument cluster screen.
Thanks for posting this. This has to be one of the worst stereo designs of all time, BMW should be embarrassed they actually stuck with this for so long,lol!
