@NormanS4 I don’t. I replaced them about a year ago so I don’t have
anything to do in the front end at the moment. You might be able to find
some info on Bimmerforums though.
When I did this last year I think it was about 40 degrees in the garage.

Any vids of the front upper/lower control arms would be awesome. Can’t find
ne on utube for e39.
That’s a common issue on most E39’s. There are a lot of bushings in the
rear end on these cars and any one of them can cause vibrations in a
certain road speed range. My guess would be it’s the ball joint on the
lower swing arm that connects to the wheel carrier. You can see the ball
joint if you look under the rear swing arm. If the rubber is cracked and
dried out I guarantee you it’s a worn ball joint causing the problem.

Yes, I did load and torque these suspension components afterwards. But I
did this at another time as the car was sitting on jack stands during the
winter and I had other maintenance to do.

I did not perform a wheel alignment after doing this. However, when spring
came I had all 4 corners aligned properly.

and did that cause the rear end of the car to vibrate at over 60mph? cause
i have that, but it kinda stops around at around 90mph. Could this be the
cause?
@Expendablexxxx Wishbone is the technical term that BMW uses for the
control arm in the rear suspension. My originals have worn balljoints and
bushings that have a lot of play in them.

does the car need a wheel alignment after the procedure on this video ? did
they not follow correct procedure as far as final torque with positioning
vehicle on 4 wheel stance before final torque? Just curious . Great video
Did you do a final torque with the suspension loaded on all four tires? If
not you will have premature bushing failure. Nice video though. I have to
do this on my e38.
