Nice video! So the ticking sound may come from the chain? My E39 540i has
similar noise. But the engine isn’t known for oil pump loose.

sharing. I will be doing this service to my 95 530i soon. As mentioned on
the forum, I will use some brake cleaner or carb cleaner to clean those
bolt holes… Thanks again; well done.
not to far off subject but I just did my Auto trans service on the z4
e85 and the pan bolts wouldn’t torque correctly (torques head screws) had
to buy 22 new bolts at $4.00 apiece. the new gasket is still weeping tranny
fluid. good video
