BMW’s Direct Injection Injectors have a special teflon ring that is installed on the tip of the injector and must be replaced each time the injector is replaced. You then must use a special tool that allows you to install the injector seal to the correct dimensions. I decided to go a different route and use home made DIY tools to achieve the same result. I used a piece of pipe that I purchased from a local hardware store and modified it as shown in the video to work for installing injector seals on BMW N20 engine. I recommend getting the correct tool and doing as per BMW instructions. This is for entertainment purposes only and try at your own risk.

It be nice if you said what diameter pipe lol

@techmech2030 says:

Where did you get the prop from? Thank you!

@ThePrestigeification says:

Thanks for the video, I’mma try this. It turns out S58/B58TU have a different width stem so the seal kits don’t actually work with them.

@nazarm6215 says:

mines already installed, so I dont need to do this.

Great video

@reecestanley4026 says:

I think you forgot to mention the seal needs to stay compressed in the pipe and once taken out it needs to be inserted into the injector housing within 30 seconds or it will expand and not seal properly

Hey messed up a set of seals the seal formed crooked

Hi pal, got to change my valvetronic… think it’s completely failed.

Don’t happen to know what mm diameter of the end of the injector is?

Going to replace the seals using half your method, but going to use it fuel injector rubber hose with a jubilee clip that I’ll tighten up over the seal until it’s fitted. However, I don’t know what size hose Internal diameter to buy.

Check my videos to see what total failure of the valvetronic looks like ha

@Jackbuiltit says:

Where can I get the metal sealing rings ?

@tonybrough5561 says:

Great video going to try the same method on my seals. Do know the inner size of the brass tube you used? I would guess maybe 8mm or so? Thanks

@jayb8941 says:

Cool vid!! Where did you get the teflon seal by itself?
