BMW Driveshaft Vibration Repair – CV Joint Replacement

BMW Driveshaft Vibration Repair – CV Joint Replacement

In todays video I am fixing a driveshaft vibration/shudder that recently developed on my 2001 BMW 330i Flip Project. This is my 3rd time pulling the driveshaft in like 4 days. Weve already replaced the engine mounts, trans mounts, flex disc, and center support bearing! Hopefully I can fix it!

Man you got it done…Thank you for sharing with us. I need to borrow some of your patience because I am about out… I couldn’t find trusted bmw mechanic in my area to replace my daughter’s 2004 bmw 330i blown head gasket, so I bought a $600 running 2003 bmw 325i. It only has 145000 miles on it but the interior was trash, and I was able to swap it with the interior from my daughter’s car. As I am waiting on the headliner to be redone, I started to replace the cooling system and after running the engine for a while I noticed a knock coming from under the hood as I turned it off. I started again and listened but couldn’t figure out where it comes from. I replaced the pulleys and checked and the bolts and nuts from the alternator and power steering pump but it’s still doing it. I am thinking it could come from the starter? But why it’s only doing it when I turn the engine off? I googled it and still nothing, I found at least 3 other YouTube videos where they had the same problem but nobody was able to give them an answer and they never did follow up.
So yes I understand how frustrating it can be when you have to figure it out on your own…

Another great infomative video. I'm sure it will help all the 3 series'ers out there. Can you share the prices? Interested in the CV price above all.
