Glad to help. Both fault relate to the purge valve system. I am putting together a video for this shortly so it is funny that you have run into this. The P0444 seems to relate to the purge valve itself and the other fault can mean a small leak in the system. You may want to replace the purge valve and clear the codes. You can have a test run with a shop that has BMW scan tools to test the purge valve and for any leaks. I have seen mice chew lines on top of the fuel tank. Hope to have a videosoon
Sure, my friend…GX20093. Much obliged.
Hello my friend, I would be happy to help. Can you send me the last seven of your VIN again and I will see what I can find.
Happy to see you replying to comments. Shows you finally have time from work and family. Well I need your two cents again if I may? I got two codes popped up… P0444 and P0440. I went ahead and replaced the gas cap but did not remedy the SES light.
Unfortunately I do not currently have a vehicle to make a video like this for you.
It was pretty clean. I have seem quite a mess under the micro filter housing due to leaves and plant debris. It can really make a difference with smells inside the vehicle.
Thanks for the comment and for watching 🙂

That was the cleanest cabin air filter ever and so was its housing. LOL. Like it was in the showroom floor tasting fresh air for the first time.
