BMW 3 Series replacement revealed!

Meet the most mind-blowing car BMW has ever revealed… The BMW i Vision Dee!

This all-new concept has been revealed at CES 2023 and aims to show what the next-gen BMW 3 Series could be like when it arrives in 2025!

So what are the key talking points? Well for starters, there’s the retro-inspired design. From the side, we’re getting classic E30 3 Series design vibes, and upfront we have (yet another…) massive kidney grille. However, unlike recent BMW releases, this one’s longer than it is fat, and it arrives fully digitised!

Step inside and this is where the technology really comes to the fore. Rather than sticking an infotainment screen on the dash, the i Vision Dee comes with a heads-up display that can stretch the full length of the windscreen! Elsewhere, it’s all pretty minimalist inside, with hardly any physical buttons to be found.

What’s more, the i Vision Dee will also come with E-ink technology, allowing you to change the car’s exterior colour! It’s also done away with door handles, so you’ll need to rely on gesture controls to even get inside!

So, what’re your thoughts… Are you a fan of the retro design? Or has BMW taken it a step too far? Let us know in the COMMENTS!

Ryan Smith says:

I like exactly zero features about this car, and I expect that the closer it comes to reality I'll like it even less. The me from 20 years ago wouldn't imagine me saying something like this.

BMW's spirit died and now we are just getting the putrid rot of what was once an amazing company.

Jonathan Moore says:

I really like the design cues – particularly that it is channelling retro Alfa. BMW badly lost its way 10-15 years ago with design, so this might be the beginning of a return to form. I don't want all the silly gimmickry though which will inevitably go wrong and mostly is unnecessary. If only there was a manufacturer that combined sleek, modern design with a quality image, durability, and minimal technology.

The rear looks like an Alfa Romeo 156

Here’s how to know if a concept will most likely be in production – if it is a crossover, it will be put into production. Anything car manufacturers promise to put out, if it isn’t a crossover, it probably won’t go into production. So beware of radical concepts that manufacturers show off these days, like the Dee. Since it is a sedan, there’s a chance it won’t be approved by the board. But if the Dee were a crossover, it’ll go from concept to announcement of planned production in less than 2 years.
