yes the e38 is also supported. do a Google search for bimmernav e38 to see
all e38 options

Hi, you can select the purple/white wire for switched power. it is located
to the right of the nav computer. in cars with dsp built before 09/01 you
will need an adapter for audio

dose it work for the e38
Installed in an E39, 1997, no DPS today. Replaced the cd changer as in the
video Works perfect. Mp3 stick, SD card and my Iphone to the AUX

can you go over again how to make the connection for the switch power
source? we have to splice a wire into the unit? also, once installed and
playing music… how will songs be displayed on the dash navigation/DSP
screen? will we then be able to use the buttons on the stereo (and the
integrated stereo control buttons on the steering well) to navigate through
mp3 files on the our music source (USB memory stick, etc.)??
