Will it RUN & MOVE?? (RARE Abandoned Audi Turbo – Part 3)

Will it RUN & MOVE?? (RARE Abandoned Audi Turbo – Part 3)

The domino effect is real haha
As soon as I fix one problem, the next one pops up…

The goal today is to actually get the Audi RUNNING so it can DRIVE into the shop under it’s own power!

But in order to drive it we must fix the brakes….the WEIRDEST BRAKES YOU HAVE EVER SEEN!

Great explanation on the front brake system. I was aware of them, but never understood why they would make such a crazy system. It was the wheel size as you explained to get extra stopping power on such a large vehicle that now added a lot more power!

I always wanted to upgrade to the 20v engine/M.Y. The 10v 200Q has standard discs out front.

Waiting for more cool videos on this legendary machine!

@michaelgleason4791 says:

There has to be some sort of conversion possible for the front brakes

@andrewbaruth2318 says:

Those front brakes are what happens when the engineer smokes a bale of marijuana, then goes to the drawing board.

I like the old blue reference

@theblackhand6485 says:

About the UFO rotors: just ditch them and build a previous or later system on it. Must be possible. Then you can buy just regular disks brakes and pads.

@baronbarbaron says:

I wonder how the fuel pipes are so rusty on the outside as well, and the clamps that hold them are like they were just made… And those special brakes on the front are also some kind of total nonsense, their pads are smaller than any I've seen, on whether they will have great performance. In every German car there are several such "miracles of technology" that create endless headaches 🙂

@peterbenson3776 says:

Im waiting with apprehensive breath to see what happens with the front brakes!! Maybe you are too!

@aBigMeanie says:

there are adapters available to connect some scanners to the old pre "obd" computer. i have one, it's marked "audi-4", 2 lines each with 2 pin male connector. the port is in the engine bay fuse box. 2 – 2 pin female connectors.

@normanhardiek7316 says:

Wow just wow!

@kakofon78 says:

Don’t forget about timing belt because after seating somewhere for 10 years must be in fantastic shape.

@frankvoynar6427 says:

Working on german cars 47 yrs. starting on vw's in their hey day an advancing to audi, those brake rotors certainly don't surprise me. The germans were always on the innovative side. Not so much reliability but innovative. IMO that era was over-all much better from customers stand point than later years, as they became money pits after warranty ran out.

@mjmcomputers says:

I bet someone makes a conversion kit for those rear brakes.

@lugnutgmc says:

I have a hydraulic flaring tool from Mastercool. Its portable, and compact enough to flare fittings on cars. It has saved me so many times, makes perfect factory flares with no hassle. Highly recommend.

@ronnymarkussen9685 says:

Don't spend time on those brakes. See if you can get complete spring legs from an S6 C4 with brakes. They are much better and fit right on. And parts are easy to get.

@scottymoondogjakubin4766 says:

I accidently broke the oil pressure send unit on my truck today ! $32 for a new one ! I dont feel bad now after watching part 3 ! D#m what a nightmare that audi is becoming !

@peter-pg5yc says:

reminds me of lous rolls royce. they used the engine to pump up brakes and really expensive fluid. but it stopped great for a land yacht

@garethmilne6887 says:

WD40 makes rubber components swell up and go horrible. If it doesn't over there then the formula we get here in NZ must be different. And it pisses me off they don't print a warning on the spray cans

@dendkmac says:

Never heard of that type of fuel line always aluminum high performance…nytop?

@earlribaudo4807 says:

Great videos, love what you do. I would be afraid of the brake lines and calipers after sitting so long. Could be moisture in the fluid. Also the seals in the calipers could be junk. Keep up the great work. Can you cut the outer part off and turn the rotors, then weld the outer part back on?

@flightforensics4523 says:

This guy is as bad as Watch Wes Whine!

@ChrisWilliams-pu8pj says:

You are a better man than I am to take on a project like that. Neat car but what a nightmare!

@raymondjacobs8429 says:

Ivan, Looks as though THAT could be Santa's RED SLEIGH
