EL paWLo says:

did you reuse the rubber o-ring?

GaryKist says:

Not sure, probably most of it lol

nikkifindoza says:

How much coolant is drained to get to the thermostat?

GaryKist says:

the socket im using is a long socket for the 1/4″ ratchet (smallest ratchet), paired with an adapter for the 3/8″ ratchet for leverage . it could be that the outer wall of that socket is thin enough to clear the bolt’s surroundings.

Jared Specht says:

how did you get the socket to the bolt that is closest to the alternator. I tried to check my thermostat today and could not get the socket flush with the bolt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

GaryKist says:

thanks. as far as i understand, g12 is a long life coolant that was developed to use with the bad european tap water…other than that its nothing special…as long as long life coolant isnt mixed with regular green coolant it is ok.

russcuss36 says:

Your coolant is suppose to be Pink. You are not using G12. Its more expensive but made specially for your vehicle. Nice vid though. Now I won’t have to remove my whole front end to change it.
