Hi,
It’s a very helpful video – I’m before the change (I already bought the
pressure accumulator). Thanks.

I would have an additional question somehow also related to this. After
opening the door on driver side, the compressor was starting before the car
was in a garage for service some time ago. But now, it’s only starting if
the ignition is turned on. It was a pretty useful thing, because the engine
can’t be started until not enough pressure is built up.

Do you have an idea, where should I check if something is broken (sensor,
cable…)?

I was looking aroung the door, but there is no switch like on other cars’
door… 🙁
Thank you for your answer!

What type of oil I should put in if there isn’t enough?

Ian Lloyd says:

Juanma Macías says:

Thank you! I saw pressure pump is activated every 70 seconds without
changing gears. Can it be because of a hydraulic leak? Is it very
complicated to fix?

Juanma Macías says:

Thanks for sharing this video! I have a Audi A2 3L and am worried because
my pressure accumulator allows only two changes. I do not know what would
be the first step, if changing the accumulator or try changing the seals.
Regards!

lads, lupo or audi a2??? what should i buy?

Noiseformind . says:

Got my pressure accumulator from Mr Topal today. From 4-5 gear changes it
went to an easy 7 plus it will take around 3 minutes for it to work again.
Tomorrow I will spend some time installing a seal kit (the most complete
one, 60€ of seals, gaskets and O-rings to both the gear lever and the pump)
and see if this is a good mod or nothing changes in the car.

Great work keep posting!

I like what you said as last :-), I’ll keep tuning my Polo haha.

Noiseformind . says:

your answer is very good, my friend. I don’t have a lot of trouble with my
pressure accumulator. But going from 3 to 4-5 with the oil change and I am
thinking maybe it gets better with this very affordable 50€ mod. In my
experience a little more than the recommended oil quantity for the oil
reservoir will give me a more accurate mpg on the trip computer, as well as
faster acceleration on the start/stop function around town, especially. Do
you use the exact amount of oil or a little more?

greit help thank you

I can shift seven times as well with my Lupo.

titus m says:

Hy, What is the normal oil level for the accumulator? – should it be in the
middle of that little square on the side – before or after taking off the
pressure accumulator? Thanks. great input:)

TunekoLtd says:

When there is pressure in the system the oil level goes under half of that
white container. Basicly there is no other risk than overflow if you put
too much oil in the tank when there is pressure. Its wiser to have too much
oil than not enough.

TunekoLtd says:

You can buy all refurbished lupo 3l gearbox hydromachanic gear changing
system from sherif topal who is specialized in 3L gearboxes. Easiest to
find him is through ebay. If you want totally new system then I think only
choice is VAG dealer and it costs over 1000€. If you have lots of problems
with the system only good option is to convert it to fully manual. So you
need to add clutch pedal and remap your ECU. Is my answer good enough?

Noiseformind . says:

For months your website and vlog as been an invaluable source helping me
providing the best care for my Lupo. The Red Line fuel especially solved a
long time trouble I had with my car. But now I see a brand new actuator
standing on your engine bay and I thought one could only buy the complete
“robot” for the transmission, not spare parts like the actuator. Got some
link for that provider? Thanks in advance for reading this.

TunekoLtd says:

audi a2 if you have the extra money for it. Then convert it to manual and
you have car that can run 400 thousand kilometers with ease and avg fuel
consumption is under four liters easily even when driving like a lunetic
and even under 3 if you modify it or drive slower (under 100 km/h).

TunekoLtd says:

I think the oil level should be in that white square in the black plastic
cover when there is no pressure in the system so when you have loosened
that accumulator. I would recommed to take that black cover off so you can
see easier where is the oil level and is there any leaks.
