Late to this video but… is it possible to replace just the big piece of chrome on the grille (not the whole grille) and if so, without having to remove the bumper to do so? I have a 2008 A4 3.2 Quattro S-Line that's missing an ~6" section of that "oval" piece: previous owner must have hit something just hard enough to break off a chunk of chrome trim. The rest of the grille is ok.
Why didn’t you just remove the tires?
What is that wire that goes around the bumper?
Could you be more specific as to what exactly those 3 blade fasteners are under the bumper?
ALSO of note: the two fasteners that only require loosening, they thread into pedestals that are reverse threaded that determine how the bumper cover lines up to the hood. so if the gaps between the headlights and the grill are too wide from the hood, or are cockeyed, you need to adjust those first before completely reattaching the bumper cover to the car.
