Hey Guys!

Today I pretty much finished off that audi system with the two sets of rockford fosgate p16-s component speakers that I didn’t get to install last week.
Im quite happy with how well the custom wooden baffles came out and after all that it sounded good!
Just wish I had less camera troubles. :/

You need a teflon flush trim router bearing for dealing with plastics.

Have you ever done a Audi A4 for the 90's ? I have a 1996 Audi A4 that i recently upgraded to a Alpine headunit from a cheapo one put in there by one of the prev owners as it dident have a dedicated remote turn on wire, nor did it sound very good. Also i had to put red on yellow and yellow on red on the harness kit that came with the Alpine hu in order to get it to rememeber any settings/track when taking the key out. The old one also dident remember the settings so i've worked out the permanent 12V and ignition key 12V are reversed in the factory plugs for the stock stereo, and the harness in there is so ridicolously short that i barely get the plugs out the hole. Then again i never listen to the radio, nor bothered with an adaptor so i guess i dont really need to repair the wires i cut trying to get my subwoofers remote turn on hooked up on the old stereos motorized/power antenna output lead.

what camera are you using?

Awesome video man. Now I know how to remove and replace the junk German pods. Owning and working on an Audi is a love hate relationship, like that skank you hate but can't stop banging.

Huge difference in quality, good buy on new camera!

Those tweets are gonna be a bitch to take out if they ever want to upgrade.

You lost me when you said that you were going to use wood, MDF, no less to make a baffle. Doors get wet. Wood swells.

Nice Camera much better quality vids

Really nice speaker install . Amazing what you can accomplish with out all the fancy tools, the heart of a true installer.

MyTruckinLife ACE says:

I don’t think any flush trim bit is good for using plastic as a template because the bearing transfers heat from the blade. Good video I like the new camera. When I had my shop I made mdf templates of the holes and rings that I would use most.

The adhesive mounting of the tweeters is certainly workable. However, when you have tweeters with a threaded hole in the back plate or magnet, why not use a shallow screw and a piece of back strap to rig an easily removable bracket mount? You can also wrap electrical tape around the blackstrap if you are concerned about grounding the magnet. Just a thought. Another great vid!
