While i was driving in Florida it started to torrential downpour. I got a pre sense restricted warning which usually goes away as its done once or twice in the past after i turn off the car or while im driving. But this time it didnt. I got a hard fault code for C1103 Adaptive Cruise Control Misadjusted. The Audi dealer wanted hundreds of dollars to fix this and i did it for practically nothing!
Adaptive Cruise Control radars often times require calibration, whether it got bumped, or after changing the bumper, getting a wheel alignment, replacing suspension parts and especially after a collision. The system should be recalibrated to work properly. If the front facing #ACC radars are not set properly, you can get error message like “Audi pre sense restricted or limited or unavailable” (also Front Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist) and a C1103 fault code in module 13. Dealer will charge you $800 or more to readjust the radar but luckily you can do it yourself without specialized #calibration tools. This video tutorial will guide you though the process of enabling back ACC in my Audi RS3 but it will work for any Audi or Volkswagen With the ACC radar module/sensor.

1. Purchase Pro OBDeleven
2. Go to control unit 13 (ACC)
3. Change services to development mode,
4. Go to adoptions.
5. Open misalignment angle, horiz and Change the value to 0.00 And save.
6. Security Access will pop up select top choice and save.
7. Do the same for vertical deadadjustment..
8. Now go back and clear all faults and the error should go away. It WILL come back if your sensor is still misaligned.
Any tips on if your fault is due to installing RS3 style grille and using the relocation bracket? I'm thinking some adjustment to the set screws will be needed along with all the steps you outlined. I'm also curious if we were to set the value as non 0.00, would we potentially get +/- .8 from the value we set instead of from 0.00. any feedback is appreciated. Solid video, cheers mate.
